Qualification
Must have:
- Be a holder of Ph.D. degree from a reputable university;
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in similar and related working environment with a recognized institution
OR
- Must possess a Master’s Degree in a relevant field.
- Must have at least 5 years’ experience at Grade 11 or at a comparable position.
- Must be computer literate.
Key responsibilities also include
Reporting to: Director, Student Recruitment, Admissions, Registration & Career Services
Duties and responsibilities:
- Work closely with the academic departments on a recruitment strategy to improve awareness of university programmes.
- Participate in the Marketing of University programmes
- Advise the marketing department on programmes to be advertised
- Ensure compliance to the University’s admissions criteria and process in all campuses.
- Overseeing the implementation of policy guidelines on student registration and credit transfers
- Maintenance of accurate students’ database
- Oversee enrolment of students.
- Providing information and participating in all aspects of students’ orientation
- Prepare summaries of applicants for admission for consideration by the Admission and Registration Committee.
- Preparation of student enrolment report every semester / trimester for submission to the admissions and Registration Committee
- Processing of students’ registration
- Managing the student’s nominal roll
- Updating the status on deferments, academic leaves, resumption of studies and disciplinary cases for students
- Implement of the university Service charter in relation to admission matters.
- In liaison with the Finance Director, ensure compliance with policy guidelines on fee payment and class size
- Be responsible for safe custody of student’s records
- Implementation of the University service charter in relation to admission and registration of students in the University
- Performing any other duty that may be assigned from time to time by the Director, Student Recruitment, Admissions, registration and Career Services
