Qualification

Education, Skills, and Experience

Minimum Requirements (Must Have):

  • Hold a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from a recognized and accredited university, consistent with RQF Level 10;
  • Possess not less than five (5) years' experience in academic and administrative leadership at senior level within a recognized higher education or research institution; 
  • Demonstrate strong working knowledge of Rwanda’s higher education regulatory environment.

Key responsibilities also include

Reporting to: Deputy Vice-Chancellor – Academic and Research Affairs

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating admissions, enrollment, registration, progression, and graduation processes in line with approved academic regulations;
  • Overseeing student academic records, including transcripts, certificates, and secure data management systems;
  • Ensuring full implementation of academic policies, procedures, and regulations, in compliance with HEC and RQF requirements;
  • Managing and publishing academic calendars, examination timetables, and teaching schedules;
  • Performing any other duties as may be assigned by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic and Research Affairs or the Vice-Chancellor, consistent with the office of Academic Registrar.
