Qualification

Must have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education Technology, or related discipline from a recognized academic institution.
  • Three (3) years experience in a similar role with proven experience in designing and developing e-learning instructional materials.
  • Must be Computer Literate.
  • Proficiency in instructional design software such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, i-spring or similar.
  • Proficiency in using various learning technologies, including Learning Management Systems (LMS) like Moodle
  • Strong knowledge of pedagogical principles and adult learning theories.
  • Ability to collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to translate content into effective e-learning modules.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and project management skills.

Reporting to: Principal, Open Distance & E-Learning

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Instructional Design & Content Digitalization- Design and develop instructional materials and course structures for online delivery by transforming traditional course materials into interactive digital content.
  • Multimedia Integration- Incorporating videos, animations, quizzes, and interactive elements to enhance e-learning.
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance- Ensuring the e-content meets university, accreditation, and international e-learning standards
  • Long-Term Maintenance & Updates- Maintain a record of developed e-learning content and continuously review developed content to ensure the content remains current and relevant.
  • Collaborate with academic departments to align e-learning course content with learning outcomes.
  • Continuously evaluate and revise e-learning materials based on user feedback and effectiveness.
  • Ensure accessibility and usability of digital content for diverse learners.
  • Train faculty on best practices in online teaching and instructional design.
  • Carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the section or departmental head
